2007

In 2007, FACUA promoted several development programmes of organizations dedicated to defend consumers' rights in five countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, with the financial support of Spanish institutions.

Argentina

Organization: Consumer Education Centre (CEC).

Programme: Social action for the water supply in the city of Buenos Aires.

Financial support: Caja Granada Foundation.

Project partners: FACUA and the Water Supplying Association from Andalusia (ASA).


Costa Rica

Organization: Ambio Foundation.

Programme: Proposal to develop an educative strategy of the consumers' rights.

Financial support: Caja San Fernando-Cajasol Social Foundation.

Project partners: FACUA and the Water Supplying Association from Andalusia (ASA).


Cuba

Organization: Antonio Núñez Jimenez Foundation for Nature and Humanity (FANJ).

Programmes: Community practical-educational programme to promote the sustainable water consumption and to eliminate leaks from the domestic installations in two districts of Havana City. Programme to introduce educational principles about the integral water cycle in several schools in Old Havana.

Financial support: Water Supplying Association from Andalusia (ASA) and Seville Foundation.

Project partners: FACUA, ASA and Seville Foundation.


Panama

Organization: National Consumers and Users Union from the Republic of Panama (Uncurepa).

Programme: Project to study the bottled water sold in the Republic of Panama.

Financial support: Unicaja Social Foundation.

Project partners: FACUA and Water Supplying Association from Andalusia (ASA).


Chile

Organization: Consumers and Users Organization (Odecu).

Programme: Community project on water supply.

Financial support: El Monte-Cajasol Foundation.
